I'm a software engineer in Jakarta. I've been building for the web for about five years, mostly with React and TypeScript, and lately I spend as much time on the infrastructure underneath as on the screens people use.
Most of my days go to Satu Dental, where a small team and I look after the software dental clinics run on: the dashboard they run their day from, the apps patients book with, and the kiosk they check in at. This year we moved all of it from Google Cloud to AWS. I led the move, and it meant learning a lot of infrastructure I had never touched before.
I also run Fresclean, a shoe cleaning business I started in West Jakarta in 2020. I write its software as well, down to the point-of-sale system our stores use, and now and then I build for other businesses around Jakarta. A few of those are further down.
